Traveling to Nice would not appear easy, but it was. We hopped on a train to the border or Italy and then took another train to Nice. It was beautiful when we arrived. We dropped our bags at the hotel and went towards the water. The town is quaint with stores and a Ferris wheel. Once we reached the beach the view was incredible. It was right off of a Pinterest page.
The French Riviera.
We had dinner at this restaurant in Nice called Rina, which reminded me of my good friend Rina from home. We all ordered French onion soup (because when in France...) and mussels. The food was very good and filling. After dinner we explored more and found a large super market and bought some wine to bring back to the room. We got this peach flavored wine for 4 Euro. It was so great!
The next morning we woke up early and found a Starbucks. They did not accept my Starbucks card :( but I still got a latte. It was needed. I spotted this crepe place for breakfast because we all agreed we wanted to do crepes in France. This place was called Stars and Crepes. They had it all. From savory to sweet crepes to a French bull dog begging for food. It reminded me of when Mollie begs for food. I miss her. Anyways, Jaime and I split an egg and cheese crepe and a Nutella and banana crepe. Both were very delicious.

& we were off to Monaco! The richest country in the world. But wait!
Pit stop in Eze, France on the way. When I say pit stop I mean we planned to be there for an hour at the most and ended up spending four hours there. It was beautiful. This picture doesn't do it justice.
We roamed the med-evil village of Eze. It was so cool. I felt like I was back in time. Below is what a restaurant looked like.
We saw these old ruins of a castle as well. Here I am, just hanging out.
After we left Eze we took a bus to Monte Carlo. When we got on the bus the bus driver told us to please speak in French to him....this showed how arrogant those French people are. The city was beautiful but the people hate Americans and therefore are rude. If I win the lottery, I'm moving to Monaco. Monaco is so wealthy, from the cars to the people, to the dogs wearing fur coats. These people have serious dough.
We were greeted by ferraris, beamers, Benz, bentleys, rolls royces, and lambos. It was nuts! There were high end shops every where. We explored and enjoyed the views and then went to get drinks at the Budda Bar which was really crazy and expensive. I enjoyed my chocolate martini and a glass of wine before we went to the cafe hotel de Paris where I had veggie pasta.

We played video blackjack. I was up about 15 euro but then lost it. It's ok! I had a lot of fun. Apparently we had a little too much fun because before we knew it it was 11 o'clock and we still had to catch a bus or train back to Nice. Unfortunatly we missed the last bus and the last train. The next train was at 6 am and we were not staying up that late. So we put our heads together, all six of us, and we decided to take a cab back. It was only about a half hour away which wasn't bad but we wanted to take the cheapest way home. It ended up being 120 euro which was 20 euro a person. It definitely wasn't something we wanted to do but oh well. We learning from our mistake.
The next day we woke up and headed to the train station to make our way home. On the way we bought pastries, fruit and bread from the local farmers market. On the way my friend Emily and I saw this homeless man sitting under the bridge we had to walk under. We had seen him the day before but didn't think that much of it. We decided to give him one of my apples because I had two and he looked hungry. He was so grateful and it made me feel good.
We had such a great time in nice and Monte Carlo. But I was definitely glad to be back in Italy on Sunday night.
Next weekend: Amsterdam.
